Speaking of Sam Anderson, the other day when I posted Anderson’s marginalia, a friend mistakenly thought that those were my notes. No, no—I only write in books I have to write essays about, barely ever now that I’m out of school. Then I remembered James Franco. (Almost always remembering James Franco anyway—he’s so dreamy.) Dustin and I were going to chat about Palo Alto for the internet. It became difficult because neither of us could finish the book.
